Remedies for Whitening Dark Underarms

underarms

Dark coloration of the skin in the underarms / armpits region is usually not a disease or medical condition. The main causes of dark underarms are shaving, using chemicals laden hair removing creams, buildup of dead skin cells, poor ventilation in the armpits region, and regular use of alcohol based deodorants and antiperspirants. You can think it as your skin’s response to exposure to some elements, just like a suntan that occurs from exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

You don’t have to leave them dark. To get rid of your dark underarms and restore your confidence, use these simple home remedies!

Naturally Bleach Underarms With Potato To Get Rid Of Underarm Darkness

Take some lemon juice and add brown sugar or granulated sugar. Apply on underarms and leave for 5-10 minutes. Then with little wet fingers, rub your underarms gently feeling the granules of the sugar. This will excellently exfoliate your skin along with lightening it. Wash off after few minutes. This scrub is particularly useful for you if you got your dark underarms as a result of shaving.

D.I.Y – Nail paints from old eye-shadows

DIY thursday

Hello Girlies,

Here’s another exciting D.I.Y post for you to try this weekend.

Haven’t we always wondered what to do with our expired eye-shadows? While it really hurts to discard the expensive ones, I finally figured out a way that I could still keep them in my makeup box. Plus I get to name these nail paint shades! How awesome is that ?! 🙂

Here’s what you will need

  • Clear nail polish
  • Cheap eyeshadow. You could also use expired eyeshadow that may just be taking up space in your makeup drawer
  • Toothpick
  • A funnel. I made mine by wrapping a note card into a cone shape

DIY 5thNov

Step 1: Take out the eyeshadow you want to use. Crush it so that it’s a fine powder.

Step 2 : Empty a small amount of clear nail polish out so you have room for the eyeshadow powder. Place your funnel into the top. Add the colour into the bottle.

Step 3 : Use the toothpick to mix up the colour into the bottle. Put the cap on and give it a good shake until it is evenly distributed.

You now have you own custom shade of nail polish! Taadaa 🙂

What’s Great About Hand Painted T-Shirts!!!

Well!  Firstly, it is practical and secondly it is creative. With little bit of imagination and manual skills any sort of tops or t-shirt could be upcycled.

So, There are three simple ways you can bring a twist to your own old t-shirt and give it a hand painted renovation, and i bet you will love it upto the core.

*The First way is Stroky Effect: that is by using Brushes. Create an outline of the design using a fabric chalk or a pencil exactly where you want it to be painted on the t- shirt. Then use a brush to overwrite on the outline which will decrease the risk of spill over and then fill the color in the design within.

The Art Class

*The Second way is Stamping With Paint : that is by using a Sponge. Cut out a stencil for the design you love,Try cutting them out of freezer paper or cardboard. Place it exactly at the right position you want your design to be painted on your t-shirt, don’t forget to pin it up to prevent the t-shirt from slipping around. Then take a sponge and dip it in color and start stamping it on top of the stencil, give it some time to dry and then slowly remove the stencil away.

The Art Class

*The Third way is Splash It Up: that is it go free with colors. Chose your favourite color combination ( you can mix as many colors as you want), Pour it in a saperate vessels get saperate brushes for them and then splash it up on you t-shirt. Just make sure that you never take too much of color in your brush for avoiding a big patch. And this looks best when done from some angle specially top.

Isn’t that intresting.

But too lazy to paint it yourself. Then heres a range of beautiful hand painted t-shirts for you. Pick one for yourself!

D.I.Y Natural Make-up remover

DIY makeup remover

Let’s face it, the last thing you feel like doing after getting home late is taking off your makeup (kicking off your high heels is first priority). Let me not sound preachy but removing your makeup should be part of your daily skin care ritual.

Here is why you must always removing makeup before sleeping:
1. It washes away the chemicals used in cosmetics.
2. It reduces the risk of developing pimples, redness, blackheads and other types of blemishes.
3. It let’s your skin breathe.

Now that we know why removing make-up is important, let me show you how to make a natural homemade make-up remover.

What you Need :

a container with an airtight seal (glass or plastic)
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon organic coconut oil
1 tablespoon of your favorite all natural or organic liquid face soap

How to make it :

1. In a small saucepan, heat the water until it’s just boiling. This is to remove any impurities in the water. Let it cool for a few minutes, so that it’s still warm, but not too hot to handle.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the warm water. Stir to combine.
3. Add 1 tablespoon of liquid face soap. Stir again.
4. Let the mixture cool and pour it into your container.
5. That’s it! You’re ready to use your makeup remover!

The best part is that the coconut oil leaves your skin so soft and not at all greasy. And it smells awesome!

THIS RECIPE HAS A SHELF LIFE OF ABOUT 6 MONTHS.

P.S – the mixture cools, the oil and soap will separate from the water. This is normal and nothing to worry about. Give it a gentle shake and it’ll mix right up.
